About Melody Smith:

Melody Smith was born and raised in Southern California and holds a BA degree in Graphic Design. She spent over 15 years as an Art Director in Los Angeles and Orange County  After marrying and having 3 kids, Melody decided to go back to her “roots” and teach art. Her family now owns Blackbird Music & Art Center in Queen Creek, Arizona  Melody is a contemporary artist whose style is “Urban Eclectic” - a mix of modern pop art and urban designs in acrylics, watercolors, and 3-D shadowboxes. Melody puts a modern flare on urban trends for the 21st century in her paintings incorporating graffiti, tattoos, folk art, and city dwellings. Her paintings have been known to be brilliant in color with a unique style.  Melody does quite a few shows throughout the year as well as having her art on display and for sale at various galleries,businesses and restaurants throughout Arizona.
