Rhodium plated finishes are best in class for wear ability among the precious metals. In reality, silver is shinier than rhodium, but silver is also a softer and more malleable metal, and can be scratched and dented more easily. So jewelers may choose to rhodium plate some jewelry items to make them more durable. It looks like it has a little bit of antiqued finish look but in the long run since it's more durable it also does not tarnish. I don't know about jacuzzi's because some silver does change colors in jacuzzi's so I can't say it won't change colors there because I have not tested it.
